On June 24, former captain of India and Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni, spent a delightful day with Saurabh Tiwary's son in Ranchi. Following the IPL 2025 season, where he took over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings after Ruturaj Gaikwad's injury, Dhoni has been enjoying his time in his hometown, stepping away from the cricketing limelight. At 43, he continues to participate in the IPL after retiring from international cricket in August 2020.
Recognition in the ICC Hall of Fame
Recently, MS Dhoni was honored with induction into the ICC Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of Mathew Hayden, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Sana Mir, Daniel Vettori, and Sarah Taylor. This accolade acknowledges their significant contributions to international cricket across various formats. Dhoni is now the 11th Indian cricketer to receive this prestigious recognition.
A Special Moment with Saurabh Tiwary's Son

Tiwary's IPL Career
In the IPL, Tiwary played for several teams, including Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rising Pune SuperGiants, and Mumbai Indians. Uncertainty Surrounding Dhoni's IPL Future
Following Chennai Super Kings' exit from IPL 2025, Dhoni's future in the tournament is unclear. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter has not yet confirmed whether he will return for the next season or retire. After CSK's last match against the Gujarat Titans, Dhoni mentioned he would take his time to decide, leaving fans and media in suspense regarding his next steps.
He stated, "I have 4-5 months to decide, there's no hurry. I need to keep my body fit. You have to be at your best. If cricketers start retiring for their performance, some of them will retire at 22. Will go back to Ranchi, enjoy a few bike rides."
Dhoni added, "I am not saying I am done, not saying I am coming back either. I have the luxury of timing. Will think about it and then decide."
In IPL 2025, he scored 191 runs at an average of 24.50 and a strike rate of 135.17 across 14 matches.
